Well it seems that AVB will be officially appointed Spurs manager today and I just wondered how you people feel about that?.
For me it's weird because a part of me wishes him well but then again he's joining Spurs so I am hoping it all falls apart like it did here at Stamford Bridge.
Alot of people I meet who aren't Chelsea fans, like to have a pop at how our established players treated AVB and I was even told that these same players are a disgrace!.
The thing is with Villas-Boas is that he came in and tried to lay down the law and make changes that should have been long term, in the short term. That's the be all and end all of his time at Chelsea.
Now onto Spurs and he takes over a side that have finished in the top four in a couple of last few seasons. Could he take them further?
One thing is for sure, it will add that little extra spice to the two league fixtures this season as he looks to put one over his old side. The thing is, our players will want to do the same to him. He never believed in them, treated them the wrong way, lost his job and they went on to win the FA CUP and Champions League!
I am just wondering how the Spurs fans will take to him after the ridiculous decision to sack Harry Redknapp?.
Will they give him time like Chelsea fans were supposed to? or, knowing where they have finished in the league the last few seasons and what it takes to get there, if he makes the same mistakes he did here, will Spurs turn on him too?
As long as we beat them twice and finish above them, I don't care what they do!
Only time will tell!.

Just like anyone outside Chelsea thinks AVB was mistreated,Spurs fans think Harry's sacking is fully justified due to his lack of so many to list of attributes. Loyalty,Respect,Tactical knowhow,Staff utilization and many others plus his big gob to top it all. AVB I still believe will be a great success at WHL. Levy cleared the decks prior to AVBs arrival, released or sold anyone who he thinks could be distracting element within the squad. Plus pre inquiring AVB targets and already placing bids. AVB will not be dealing with massive egos at Spurs. As an ex barca manager said give me a team that failed than won everything anytime. AVB should never fail with all the conditions created for his undistruptive work. If he does it will be the end of his career at any big club.
ReplyDeleteThere is one thing i'm sure of. Even if he wins 80% of his games at whl, he will almost never score Chelsea. First because there will be a huge difference in quality of players (though there is a minimal possibility of a game being any team's win on their day) and two because the so called Chelsea rebellious will again show the quality avb refused to acknowledge
ReplyDeletelets wait and see his downfall at tottenham
ReplyDeleteChelsea team is run by the senior players. Managers such as Hiddink, Ancelotti have tried but all released by Roman. Grant looked good after taking to Champ's League Final an he turned out to be amazing for West Ham !! The elephant in the room for all manager including AVB this season will be Redknapp. Bad run for Di Matteo, Rodgers etc and Harry will be incessantly linked to job by his mates in the press.
ReplyDeleteWell I sincerely received it with missed feelings. I believe he will do better there though IF HE HAS LEARNT FROM HIS MISTAKES!1. Don't change too much too soon. 2. Reduce his High-handedness (imagine how he treated Anelka, Alex etc) 3. Be more flexible with tactics/formation at least based on opponents (all pre-match analysis showed why it would be suicidal to play a highline of defence against Arsenal, but he did & we paid for it. 4-2-3-1 vs 4-3-3 is another issue).
ReplyDeleteWell, I believe just like in chelsea, Tot would support his ideas but if they finish 6th next season, then he will not stay long.
No problem, as long as we beat them home and away!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind Villas-Boss & probably
ReplyDeletewould have wished him luck, but it's
Tottenham, so hope it goes terribly.
Fuck 'em.
