After yesterdays post and the fact that Harry Redknapp being linked with Chelsea just doesn't seem to go away, it seems that it may finally be put to bed after Roman Abramovich has seen sense!.
According to reports in the English Media this morning, Roberto Di Matteo will get the job on a full time basis and will finally lose the "Interim" tag. We all know that Roman has chased "Pep" Guardiola but as I said yesterday, I couldn't see Guardiola going back on his word to his family.
It just remains to be seen now how long Chelsea are prepared to offer RDM a deal for!.
Forgetting what he achieved with the FA CUP and Champions League win last season, there had been reports that after paying out literally millions on sacking managers in recent times, Abramovich was keen to implement the idea of a rolling contract similar to what Guardiola had at the Nou Camp.
I have to say, I like the idea as it provides motivation to the manager. If the manager has a successful season, the contract is renewed and if they have a bad season, it isn't.
I just wonder if RDM can be convinced to sign a one year deal on a rolling contract knowing that Guardiola will be waiting in the wings this time next year!.
What do you people think of Robbie looking like being given the job on a full time basis but on a possible rolling contract?
KTBFFH!
Good idea. It is a job like any other and shld be evaluated as one goes. Builds in motivation for the good ones to stay on top of their game.
ReplyDeleteIf RDM won those trophy wt another club abramovic wl surely consider him 4 imdiate employment, u don't value what u have until is gone; thank God he reconsider out of no options. Gud luck RDM
