OPINION: Neutral supporters want Bayern to beat Chelsea?

I was reading some comments made by German Legend and Bayern Munich President Karl-Heinz Rummenigge after Bayern beat Real Madrid and sealed their place in the Champions League final. Now, at the time I never paid too much attention to what he said, but after hearing different things and reading different things on the net, I AM beginning to wonder.

He said:

"Since Wednesday night, I have received an incredible number of text messages and emails from colleagues throughout Europe. They like that we are in the final with the philosophy that we have. They feel we deserve the title.

And there are many non-Bayern fans who will be keeping their fingers crossed for us."

Now, I have to say today I was taken back by some of the comments aimed at me being a Chelsea fan just by the people I work with and people on the street talking about the game.

Comments such as "I cannot wait to see your lot get stuffed and you lot having to play in the Europa next year!" became the general consensus from the football supporters in the office. OK, they are United, Spurs and QPR fans, but all jokes aside, I just wonder if there is more depth to this than we can imagine.

Saying that, I can't say I wanted United to beat Barcelona or Liverpool to beat AC Milan for that matter in those two finals so it's to be expected.

I just wanted to hear from you the Chelsea supporters reading this if you have heard something similar and where it has come from ever since we got the final?.

All I know is, if we do win it we will party like there is no tomorrow and stick two fingers up to all the doubters once again and will enjoy that walk through the office next Monday morning!
