Roberto Di Matteo hasn't received anywhere near enough praise for our achievements this season in the FA CUP and Champions League. If anything, Robbie has taken a back seat compared to the likes of Didier Drogba and Roman Abramovich this week and I think he is more than happy with that.
At some stage today no matter where he is, Robbie will look back to a week ago and relive the whole Champions League final. Everything about the day, the game, the night and the parade the day afterwards and will feel nothing but pride about how he did it.
Isn't it funny how Chelsea were being battered from all sides about our tactics against Barcelona home and away and in the final against Bayern Munich but now, people are talking of it as a blueprint for England's potential success in EURO 2012 this summer!.
Roberto Di Matteo's achievements in such a short space of time is a miracle and in my mind leaves Roman Abramovich no choice but to appoint him as our FULL TIME Manager.
Robbie has given Chelsea another base to build on and given the right backing, I am convinced that Robbie can rebuild this team around Fernando Torres.
So come on Roman, please get rid of the "Interim Tag" Robbie has had to live with and make him our permanent manager sooner rather than later!

Its all Roman decision to make... For me and most fan Robbie should take the Job full time!!! But our choice or decision makes little input it all lays with Roman to make.

ReplyDeleteI am a die hard chelsea supporter and read your blogs all the time. Robbie has done a magical job with chelsea since he took over however, the football we played against Barcelona and also Bayern Munich was very defensive and lacked attack that Chelsea were once known for. I also think we got lucky against both teams. Eg Messi missing penalty and also robin. I think we need a manager who will teach the team to attack again as we have the firepower to do so and play attacking football!
ReplyDeleteI doubt that u are a die hard Chelsea fanc, what dos Abramovich knw abt football, is't by Buying players that are nt fit into Chelsea system and getting coach Sack. U sincerely wud hav which Di Matteo 2play atacking game, with which players, is it those one that got Anceloti & AVB sack bcoz of d same thing.(Holy Gail) Guy wake up, Di Matteo, is supa_Intelligent. U can't eat ur cake & hav it. Is either Abramovich enjoy good Football in Religation or get Di Matteo a Pragmatic man= 4 pep he wil b a flop 4 Chelsea, put a bet, do u think we hav Messi, Xavi Iniesta, abi the Best youth team, wat do u have for fancy football. Did we play d same way against Napoli & Benfica, guy use u sense wen watchin football
ReplyDeleteGuy, u ar mouthed. I dnt no wat u want d guy 2 play against barca n bayern dan 2 defence, chelsea av d worst team dis season. In 2oo9 dat wil av gud team can we attack barca? Even a whole realmadrid play mass attack n mass defence, so give RDM d job.
