The more I think about it, the more I believe Chelsea WILL finish in the top four and will be in fourth place by the end of tomorrow night. Newcastle come here after being battered by Wigan 4-0 and Chelsea have to beat them because a draw isn't good enough.
To come to Stamford Bridge on a cold and wet Wednesday night, against a Chelsea side in form and scoring goals for fun, Newcastle will have hard work to stop us. I can see Chelsea winning the game and taking three points.
At the same time, Spurs who only played on Sunday, travel to Bolton who are fighting for their lives at the moment and Spurs won't fancy that at all. I can see Spurs dropping points there, whether it's two points or all three, I can't see Spurs winning.
Both results would see Chelsea jump ahead of both of them into fourth place.
As Chelsea take on Liverpool in the FA CUP final, Newcastle play City at home which is no easy game as City are going for the title and Spurs travel to Villa away on Sunday who are fighting for their lives.
Our game in hand would then be at Liverpool away the week after. An ideal situation would be for Spurs to lose one of the Bolton / Villa games and drop points at the other and for Newcastle to get beaten twice.
It's not only me that thinks we can finish fourth as Petr Cech has spoken of the race for fourth and counts on Chelsea's experience when he said:
It's the important moments like these that experience counts for everything. Chelsea have bundles of it compared to Spurs and Newcastle and let's hope it counts tomorrow night!.
What do you think? I am talking rubbish or do you believe we can do it?

That could be the decisive factor. There is everything to play for. The experience could help.”

I agree with you on this article and I believe we can finish on 4th spot. One thing I feel with the form of chelsea right now is if they go ahead to win the FA cup, chelsea is going to make another history. The players have to give their all in every match approaching it as if a trophy is at stake then we can beat newcastle, win the FA, beat livpool n blackburn to Secure the 4th position then light up europe by winning the CL. I can see that happening and it is possible with dis lads cos I believe in them.
ReplyDeleteI surely agree. Our top finish is guaranteed. Bolton away will be a really tough game for Spurs cause Bolton are in form. On the other hand, I think we're gonna beat Newcastle 2-1 or 3-1. Liverpool away will be a tough game but we can nick it because they're 8th and have nothing to play for in the League. We shouldn't underestimate Blackburn for the last game, because they need to win if they wanna stay up, but I'm pretty sure that if we take it seriously, we'll win it.
ReplyDelete...yes we can,being CHELSEA!!!
