Chelsea 2-1 Wigan - Three points!- What did you think?

This afternoon, with numerous changes to the starting eleven from midweek, Chelsea stuttered to an important three points against a spirited Wigan side. With goals from Branislav Ivanovic and Juan Mata at the death sealed three points taking us two behind Arsenal and three behind Spurs.

Chelsea never really got going until late on which was disappointing. Wigan coped for the most part with everything that was thrown at them and when we did get through their defence, AlHabsi in goal made saves time and time again.

The thing is and as far as the Premier League is concerned, three points is all that matters and we have to remind ourselves of it. It would be easy to come here and be critical and with that all I will say is, what if Torres' volley had gone wide? We would find ourselves in a much worse situation.

A win is a win in the Premier League even though I will admit Ivanovic looked offside.

Onwards and upwards with Fulham away on Monday!
