I think it's amazing you know!. As the final whistle blew last Wednesday night we all felt elated and you know why? It was because Roberto Di Matteo had studied the greatest club side in the world and set his team out to not concede anything. Little did we know that we would only go up the other end and score the decisive goal with our ONLY shot on target!.
That result has made it six games unbeaten against Barcelona and six games that Pep Guardiola has failed to guide his side a win against us. That's a stat that needs to be taken seriously.
The problem is, everything Chelsea achieved last week will almost be forgotten as the media and the press focus on the negativity of our tactics that night and the expectant battering we will receive again tomorrow.
Yes Barcelona dominated us, Yes Barcelona should have won the game and Yes Barcelona created far more than Chelsea did but they didn't score did they!. Who's to say they can score tomorrow night? Who's to say that Chelsea won't go up the other end and take a chance again?.
Our last couple of trips to the Nou Camp prove that these games can go one way or the other. In 2009, we held Barcelona to a 0-0 draw and I'd take the same again right now thank you very much!.
Before that, back in 2006 - Chelsea had drawn 2-2 against them and twice coming from a goal down. Who can forget Drogba's goal and Jose Mourinho's celebration as he slid on his knees down the touchline!.
I wrote my tactical analysis of Barcelona before the first game and it 100% hasn't changed for the return leg tomorrow. Chelsea have a massive chance to get something from attacking set pieces and have to make them count.
Of course we have to be wary of Barcelona. We have to work twice as hard without the ball tomorrow as we did at Bridge. We have to remain 100% focused and as a unit to stop Barcelona again.
We have shown we have done it and can do it again tomorrow night.
So to all the people in the media and in the press who think we are heading out to get our arses kicked tomorrow, think again.
Don't write Chelsea off just yet!
