We've had two great results in the space of four days and have deservedly celebrated them but now it's time to once again change our focus to the next game and that's Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday.
We all remember what happened earlier in the season at Stamford Bridge, it was a painful day and exposed the flaws in AVB's high defensive line.
Thankfully, we are a very different side now and have got ourselves on a fantastic run of form heading towards the end of the season.
We are in the FA CUP final, we are 1-0 up against Barcelona BUT, we still are in a battle with Spurs and Newcastle for 4th place sitting just two points behind them in the Premier League.
Finishing fourth is just as important and despite a disappointing draw away at Fulham which is not a bad result considering their home form, we have put ourselves in a good position to challenge.
The question is, just how many changes with Robbie make to the starting eleven for this one?.
The majority of players have now played two massive games at Wembley last Sunday and Barcelona last night so I personally can see a whole host of changes being made but keeping the core of our side strong.
I would imagine the likes of Drogba, Lampard, Mata and Mikel could all drop to the bench to allow Torres, Essien, Malouda and Sturridge to come in.
So if it was me, I would go with the following starting eleven:
Cech, Bosingwa, Cahill, Terry (C), Cole, Essien, Meireles, Ramires, Malouda, Sturridge and Torres.
Bench: Turnbull, Ferreira, Mikel, Mata, Kalou, Drogba, Lampard.
What do you people think?

ReplyDeleteStarting Torres will be a big mistake. We still need the mighty Drogba to terorrise the Arsenal defence.Having him in the team is always a problem for opponents.Torres can be introduced later on.Drogba cannot do without scoring against Arsenal.
