Romelu Lukaku is a player that hasn't featured much for the club for one reason or another. Whether or not he is what AVB calls a "club signing" and not his or not is neither here nor there, he has hardly featured after a big money move from Belgium last summer.
Lukaku wasn't picked to start for Belgium the other night and had to make do with coming off the bench to replace Eden Hazard. With the situation as it is at Chelsea and Lukaku hardly playing, Belgium coach Georges Leekens has reportedly issued the player with an ultimatum. He needs to be playing regular first team football to remain as part of his team.
With this in mind Lukaku has said:
"I will head back to Chelsea with the advice of Leekens in my mind. We had a long talk, and his words made me think. He told me I have to play if I want to be selected for the national team in the future. I want to be the number one striker for Belgium, but the problem is, the others are playing for their club sides, while I am not. It's such a difficult situation at Chelsea it really is. The be all and end all for Chelsea this season is now to finish in the top four. With that and where we find ourselves right now puts pressure on the manager to deliver results. To do that you need to be picking your strongest team to give you the best possible chance. Lukaku isn't one that at this moment in time, you would consider ahead of Drogba and Torres despite his lack of goals.
Something has to change. I've progressed as a player since I arrived at Chelsea, because I am training with the best players in the world. But I miss the atmosphere in the stadium and the support of the public.!
It's just the way it is!. If Chelsea were flying high at the top of the league then maybe you would see the likes of Lukaku and Piazon being involved.
So where does this now leave Lukaku with Chelsea? Well, if we are to believe what his agent has said, it looks like he is going to farmed out on loan next season. His agent is quoted as saying:
"It is clear that, if Romelu's situation stays the same, we have to search for a solution. Chelsea want to loan him to another Premier League team, preferably one in London, so they can follow his evolution."Now I can only imagine that this summer is going to HUGE for Chelsea and our busiest for quite some time. You would imagine if still here, AVB will want to bring in his own players and right now it's obvious that Lukaku doesn't fit the bill as far as he is concerned.
So a loan to a Premier League club could turn out to be better for everyone concerned. Look at what happened to Danny Sturridge and someone like Danny Welbeck at United. Both had spells starting games for Bolton and Sunderland and haven't looked back since.
The thing is, you can see Lukaku has plenty of potential, you can see he wants to learn and wants to give everything to the club he supports.
He dreams of scoring goals for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge! I can't help but wonder if he will have to wait two years to do so!

I think that the problem with chelsea is far more than anticipated. The problem is somehow paranormal, and I think that Drogba is behind it. Come to think of it, after the arrival of Drogba, none of the strikers that came after him has ever done well. I think that the problem is spiritual.
