AVB SACKED - HE HAD TO GO!

There I was having a beer with my dad this afternoon when news broke that AVB had been sacked and I will be honest, I knew it was going to happen and thought to myself it's about time.

Before I get slated on here by Chelsea fans who want to look to the future and things like that I want to make my point.

Am I right in saying that the manager has to get the best out of the players he has at his disposal? Am I right in saying that AVB said that at the beginning of the season that he isn't the special one but the group one? Am I right in saying that AVB said that his management style and of his technical staff is to motivate the players? Finally, am I right in saying that AVB also said that he and his technical staff strive to get the best out of every single player to find things within them they never realised they had?

These are the questions that Roman Abramovich and the board would have been asking themselves for a couple of weeks now. The ultimate question based on all of these others is "Has AVB delivered what he said he would WITH the players he has now?" NO HE HASN'T and that's why he is sacked!

I don't care about transition when we slip to where we are in the league. Yes I'm greedy, I'm greedy for Champions League football, I want to see Chelsea competing in the most prestigious club competition in the world as we have been in recent times to continue to attract top players at this club.

I want to see winning football, I don't want to see piss poor performances, awful and confusing substitutions in games and I want to see MY CLUB together as one, fighting for each other, for the manager, for the club and for the fans.

It's clear that AVB lost the dressing room. You fans need to remember that it's all well and good talking about youngsters, talking about the future and settling for a season out of the Champions League, but when it happens do you honestly think it will be that easy for us to get back in there competing with the likes of Arsenal, City, United and now Spurs?.

Premier League football is about the here and now. When you are paid a small fortune to manage a football club, you are paid to get the best out of the players. AVB hasn't done that and that is why he has been sacked!

People can come on here and whinge about Lampard, Drogba, Torres and the like, but once that transfer window closed, AVB knew exactly what he had to work with!. Again, when the window closed in January, the same thing.

AVB knew what he had to work with and it does not matter if they are deadwood, older pros's, players in their prime or youngsters coming through!, you have to manage each and every one of them to get the best out of them and he has failed to do so!.

Sorry AVB, I like you as a person and have no doubts at all that you will become successful elsewhere BUT after all the big song and dance you made in your press conference about getting the best out of everyone and "fine tuning the side" you have done nothing. You have failed to deliver and that is why you have been sacked.

I want you all to forget issues with players and open your minds here. Surely you can see what Roman and I see?
