John Terry: "I'll be back!"

Good news coming out of Chelsea this morning and that's in relation to John Terry's surgery on his injured right knee. You will remember Terry damaged his knee as he clattered against a goal post as he put his body on the line once more to stop Portsmouth scoring.

Chelsea had hoped that he would be fit to face Napoli last Wednesday but it became clear that something needed to be done and Terry had an operation last week. Terry has spoken to the press since having the operation and said:

The operation went well and I'm feeling really good. The surgeon has shaved off a bit of bone in my right knee that was rubbing and causing a lot of swelling. We're all confident the operation has solved the problem and it is looking good for a quick return.

The medical staff say four to six weeks before I can play again. But, hopefully, it might be sooner. I'll definitely be back before the end of the season to help the team in the Premier League run-in and for the Euros.'

That's great news for us it really is. I know we have Cahill and Luiz working on a new partnership at the back at the moment and are looking to get better and better, but I feel we really miss the presence of JT when he isn't there. We miss his organisation, his voice and leadership skills.

The sooner he comes back, the better we will be.
