It's a massive game on Sunday and two sides in contrasting situations. Chelsea are not playing as well as we would like to see them playing and are still struggling to create chances and feed Fernando Torres. We find ourselves 12 points behind United.
United, with plenty of injuries are still picking up vital wins and are now back on level par with City.
Chelsea have Ashley Cole, Ramires, Drogba, Kalou and possibly Frank Lampard missing. United have De Gea and Lindergaard out so Ben Amos should start. They are also waiting on news of Nani and Wayne Rooney.
Chelsea need a win and anything else would be a disaster. As usual, we are receiving criticism left, right and centre from the press and the media and Sunday could literally become win or bust as we look to cement our fourth position in the table.
The question is for Chelsea this Sunday: "Who do you want to see start for Chelsea?".
For me it has to be a 4-2-3-1 formation with Mata, Meireles and Sturridge playing just behind Torres.
Cech, Luiz, Cahill, Terry (c) Bertrand, Romeu, Essien, Meireles, Mata, Torres and Sturridge.
Chelsea were awful in the first half at Old Trafford and YES I am aware we lost 3-1 including that Torres miss and a missed Rooney penalty, but everyone who saw the game and saw Chelsea's second half performance playing 4-2-3-1 will realise this has to be the formation for Chelsea to move forward for the rest of the season. We created over 30 attempts on goal at Old Trafford!
So Chelsea fans, who do you think should start the game and in what formation?
Here's a little Promo of the game for you too!

Valencia to run riot, Cole could not handle him last time and Valencias on top form, expect Utd strikers to bag a few.
ReplyDeleteI am sad with the way things are at the moment with Chelsea.Come Sunday,i expect Chelsea to lose. This is no team for now.I don't know why AVB is making mistakes over and over again.
ReplyDeleteI have two comments to make here.
ReplyDeleteAVB does not have the balls to start Bertrand. Paulo will start. Even if we had Paulo injured. He would play Bosingwa at Left Back while Ivanovic would take up the Right Back spot. Flo Mo will start in mid field and be over run.
ReplyDeleteBy the time we wait for Torres to score and save our dear season and for Essien to hit top form the season will be but over. Sorry.
AVB says he believes in poor Torres and he will persist with him while Lukaku waits in the wings. Wait for Drogba to return from the AFCON and that is the time you will see Torres on the bench.
many of u will wonder why i choose to play David Luiz in the midfield, but i hav to tell u guys that Luiz is the only guy who will create chances in the midfield, including the through passes that Torres need. And my formation is 4-4-2; Defence: Bertrand, Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic & midfield: mata, D. Luiz, Essien, Meireles & Torres, Sturridge upfront.
