CECH: Hits out at the "speculation and nonsense!".

Petr Cech, speaking to a Czech website has been quick to diffuse the apparent divide that has been reported in the Chelsea dressing room. Referring to reports that some of our senior players had questioned the managers selection and tactics during a team meeting after the Everton defeat, in the presence of Roman Abramovich, Cech said:

Everyone has been talking about a meeting between the team and Abramovich. The truth is elsewhere and the picture of that meeting was distorted.

The club is under constant pressure media. That's the problem, There is a lot of speculation and nonsense, but we have to live with it.

The mood always derives from results so the mood is better, Tottenham lost at the weekend. We can to get closer and play for third place. We still have a chance to finish third but our aim is to finish fourth as the worst case scenario. That's clear.

I still believe things will turn for the better and our season will be successful.

Everybody has been doing their best to change the situation. But what happens in training we are not able to take into competitive games. People can hardly say we're not putting in enough effort.

I agree when it comes to the media and written press, they are very quick to jump on anything to do with Chelsea so the players are used to it by now. As supporters we should know better really that to get wound up by papers like the Mail or The Sun.

I guess it all stems from (as Cech said) results and seeing things aren't quite right. It's pleasing to hear that what we have been reading is way off the mark but I still believe there are issues that have to be resolved to save our season.

Whatever happens, we need to find a way to take our form in training onto the pitch on match days and it seems as though this is our biggest problem according to Cech. It's strange to say that in February after a season started in August though isn't it.

We just need to find a way to keep winning games and maybe we CAN transfer what happens on the training pitch onto the pitch on match day before it's too late.

For now though it's interesting to hear that Cech has now come out and backed AVB and quashed any rumour of unrest after David Luiz came out and also backed AVB.

Let's hope if he IS the man Roman believes will take us forward, the rest of the players get on side too.
