McEachran: "I chose Swansea because the style of football they play"

Josh McEachran has signed for Swansea on loan until the end of the season in what appears to be a cracking move for all parties concerned.

We all know the situation with getting first team football here at Chelsea and with Raul Meireles, Lampard and Ramires playing well and Michael Essien back, it's harder than ever for Josh to break into the side these days.

Watching the brand of football that Brendan Rogers has Swansea playing, will suit McEachran perfectly. Whether or not he gets to play is another thing.

Speaking of the move McEachran said:

"I'm delighted, with injuries at Chelsea it has been quite hard. I'm here now and I start training tomorrow so I'm really looking forward to it.

There were a few others in the Premier League, but I chose Swansea because the style of football they play will suit me and Brendan had a big impact on me. I've known him from his time at Chelsea and I think he's a fantastic manager, so I look forward to working under him.

It's a really young team here, so I think I'll fit in well and the style of play is exactly how I play.

They play the same formation at Chelsea with one holding and two advanced midfielders, so I'd look to play in an advanced role. Hopefully I can get my place here and just play a lot more Premier League games."

I really hope Josh plays but seeing the way they all played against Arsenal at the weekend, he would be hard pushed to get in their side too.

However, one thing about Josh is the fact that he is a real class act and I am sure given the chance at Swansea, he will prove to everyone just how good he is. Swansea fans, you have yourselves someone there who could develop into literally World Class!
