DROGBA: Offered £1m per month for 3 years to go to China??

It seems in recent days that speculation surrounding the future of Didier Drogba has intensified as the same club who have signed Nicolas Anelka this month, have Didier Drogba in their sights too!.

Shanghai Shenhua signed Anelka on a reported £200,000 per week and if reports are to be believed, Didier Drogba could follow the Frenchman on even more money!.

I have lost count how many times I have made comments on here about the fact that Drogba wants a two year deal to stay at Chelsea but the club are only prepared to offer him one year. Again, if these reports are to be believed (and the story has now made it into The Guardian) the Chinese club are prepared to offer Drogba a three year deal worth around £270,000 per week!

It's a mind boggling sum of money we are talking about here. That's over £1m per month before tax for THREE YEARS!.

Remember earlier last year, there were reports that Drogba's agent had been quoted as saying a deal with Chelsea is dead in the water and he will now look for the deal that gives his client the most money? Well, it looks as though he has found it in China!.

The president of the Chinese club has even spoken of his interest in Drogba and believes he can get a deal done. It will be interesting to see just when that deal is struck and when he leaves..

(Of course I am speaking as though he will leave, who are we kidding, he would be a fool not to on that money!)

I think AVB wants to keep Drogba here until the season is over. I also think Drogba would like to do that too rather than leave halfway through a season so I can't see a deal being done this month.

The thing is, I CAN see a deal being agreed between now and the end of the season as Drogba making this season his last at the club.
