The break in Spain has come at exactly the right time for Chelsea.

I have to say, credit to AVB and the club for making the decision to take a mid season break to Mallorca this week as I think you will agree, it has come at just the right time.

OK, the players are still training hard every day, but the fact that they are away together and using the trip to "bond" is a smart move in my book.

The trip is perfect for someone like Gary Cahill coming into the club, rather than get to know the players around Cobham training every day, staying in hotels etc for match days, he actually gets to spend quality time with everyone for a week and will do him the world of good.

As for the rest of the players, it's a great opportunity to reconnect with each other, to re focus on the run to the end of the season and hopefully get rid of any issues they have with the way we are and have been playing.

I predict we will see a very different Chelsea performance on Saturday lunchtime against QPR than the performance we saw against Norwich. Let's hope the players and AVB will have used this quality time to get things going again for us!
