I stand by my match report and everything I said there. Why on earth we go 1-0 up, see that Drogba is not having his best game and keep him on the pitch, ask Torres to warm up and then not even use him is beyond me!
Most people can see that Torres isn't happy and his face said it all on the bench on Saturday. The thing is, he was confident, he was enjoying his football and has been scoring goals and looking like he was getting back to his best and now it's all changed again because he isn't getting the start he needs.
I understand that Drogba has played well in a couple of games and in fact in one of them he was unplayable he was that good but, taking Saturday for example, he wasn't at it at all, couldn't influence the game and that is when the change should have been made.
The simple fact for me is that Fernando Torres gives us the option of getting in behind a back four, his movement off the ball is outstanding so why not make the change on Saturday? Why is he ignored AGAIN!??
I cannot for the life of me understand it and would like someone to at least tell me why!

i think the guy's got real problem with him benching the guy at the cost of drogba.......it sucks for real,even if he doesn't score goals for us,he's got good movement and can surely xploit opponents defence easily...we really need him,cos we must start using him,even if drogba is going for d nations cup in jan,we might not need him when he comes
ReplyDeleteWith all due respect, AVB made the greatest mistake I can ever imagine on Saturday. His subs were not worth and he refused to bring in the one who could have caused a dent in the match. If I were Torres, I will sure leave cfc come January!
ReplyDeleteAvb u hav to start making use of torres now pls torres is one of the most dangerous striker in epl which all we know.as u want to rebuild cfc it will be ok with the 4-3-3 formation.thaibutt,van d wiel,luiz,romeu,ivanovic, for the back and in the middle we have mata,modric,ramires.and than attacks will the likes of neymar,torres.pato.sub cech,sturriage,cavani,meriles,mikel,cahill.avb if all this squard can be in your list u will be awarded as coch of the year bcos u are going to win many trophy wit this team.from de true blue fan dafrancis from nigeria,imo i hope i can play for u guys one day.chelsea for life, torres for life
ReplyDeletewhat the hell was AVB thinking.Drogba should be sold for goodness sake even if he did some good dids for us against valencia but he is also a very bad jumbo for the club.Has it ever come to anyone's mind that the problem with chelsea's players is Drogba's bad influence on the players not to support anyother striker execpt him which is very bad.AVB should name torres his number one striker no matter what and give him his chance even if he doesnt score.if we remember well thats what mourinho did for Drogba that made him who he was today.
