JOHN TERRY: One player we cannot afford to miss on Thursday.

Yesterday during the open training session at Stamford Bridge we had the news that John Terry had suffered an injury and at first was doubtful to face Spurs on Thursday night. Thank god that it seems as though we will now be OK for the game as I really believe he is one player we simply cannot afford to miss right now.

The club's statement here said:

John Terry will be fit to face Tottenham on Thursday despite limping out of Monday's open training session at Stamford Bridge.
The defender pinched his Achilles while blocking a shot on the pitch towards the end of the session, and departed for treatment as a precaution, but is expected to lead the side out as normal at White Hart Lane on Thursday night.

Now I know Terry divides opinion between Chelsea fans. Fans were slating him and saying that he isn't the player he was anymore when we suffered defeats at United, home to Arsenal and Liverpool twice and that was simply because he was asked to play a high defensive line.

Ever since AVB has dropped the defence a little deeper Terry has been imperious. If there has been one player that has played well in our defence it Terry and the news he is fit for Thursday is massive for us considering it looked bad when he went off yesterday.

Chelsea need JT on Thursday without question and sorry but I disagree with anyone who thinks otherwise at the moment!.
