Italian giants in for TWO of our defenders?

Rumours have been rife that Italian giants Juventus are looking to sign Alex from us. Alex himself talked up a move last summer but no deal could be agreed. As a result he stayed here but has hardly featured and as a result handed in a transfer request last week that has been accepted.

It's now believed that Juventus are looking to offer Chelsea £2m for Alex in January knowing that his contract is due to expire at the end of the season. If it was me I would tell them to bugger off but if we try and hold out for more money at the negotiating table, we could end up losing him for nothing at the end of the season.

Now, this morning it's also being reported that Juventus are ALSO interested in making a move for David Luiz and would offer Chelsea £15m to try and tempt AVB into selling him. Gary Cahill is on the agenda in January if reports are to be believed, so I wonder if AVB would even consider selling?

I like David Luiz and he has shown last night he can be a "boring" defender by just sitting in his position, keeping things tight and clearing his lines when he needs to. It's very different from the way he normally plays the game. Yes he makes mistakes, yes he is rash in challenges but in my opinion that will all be stamped out of his game the longer he is here learning from the likes of JT and Ivanovic.

I can't help but wonder that if this whole rumour of making a move for Gary Cahill is true then you would expect him to go straight into the side next to JT to try and build a relationship between them.

At this stage I would say that Juve will more than likely get Alex and that's no surprise but if Luiz was sold I would be amazed!
