Do you agree with Meireles that Drogba is key?

Raul Meireles has taken time out to speak of Didier Drogba this week and believes that he is key to Chelsea's challenge this season. The thing is I'm not 100% certain.

He said:

"Drogba is the key to this team, We need Didier and his goals. He scored twice against Valencia last week and another against Newcastle and both times he demonstrated his quality at the decisive moment.

He'll boost our title charge. We have all spoken in the dressing room and our challenge now is to obtain every home point going until the end of the season."

Now don't get me wrong Chelsea fans, I am fully aware of just how good Didier Drogba can be when he is on form and ups his game. The problem we have is that we lose him for a month to the African Cup of Nations in January so the likes of Fernando Torres and Danny Sturridge will need to step up in his absence.

It's important that although in some games Didier Drogba can win them on his own, there are others where we need a good team performance from everyone and not just the likes of Drogba.

Without question in these past three game against Newcastle, Valencia and Manchester City, Drogba has played an important part. As for being key for us this season, like I said I am not so sure!
