DAVID VILLA UP FOR SALE? CHELSEA READY TO POUNCE?

Believe it or not, it seems as though David Villa has been put up for sale by Barcelona after he has fallen out of favour at the Nou Camp and epecially falling out with Lionel Messi.

On this report here on ESPN, it seems that leading Spanish Paper "Marca" believe that Villa could be heading to England with Chelsea and Liverpool debating whether or not to make a move for the Spanish striker.

The striker cost Barcelona 40M Euros just two years ago and if this report is true, you would imagine that would want somewhere near the same money for him. Would Chelsea be able to afford to make a move for him?

Let's also not forget that this morning Fernando Torres is being sold for £20m according to the press (which I believe is rubbish and have said so here) so maybe a swap deal could be on the cards.

For me, I would love to have David Villa here. He can play down the left, through the middle and imagine a front four of Torres, Villa, Sturridge and Mata it would be fantastic.

I really hope there is some substance in the rumour being reported by Marca. They have said in the article this post comes from:

"Barca open the door to Villa, the Catalan club has put on the market the striker. His fate seems to be one of the great English clubs, mainly Chelsea, Liverpool and Aston Villa. The Anfield club have shown much interest in his move, although its economic offer does not seem to [match] Chelsea."
