Why listen to dried up old pro's on the Radio?

One thing that winds me up about the media, especially after a poor Chelsea performance and result, is the fact that they dig up any old tom, dick or harry who has some kind of affiliation with the club to comment on the situation.

There are a couple out there who like to give their opinions but one person in particular is making himself a career out of pointing out the complete obvious and that's Tony Cascarino.

I have said it before on here and I will say it again, "What on earth did you achieve in the game with Chelsea or anywhere for that matter, that you feel as though the Chelsea fans will want to listen to you give "your view" on the situation at the club at the moment?".

We all know what's wrong at the moment and we don't need someone like you taking every single opportunity you get to comment on Chelsea as if you are someone who has clout here.

The comments I am referring to are ones he made on talkSport yesterday when asked to give his view on the Liverpool game. He said:

"That team does not look like challenging for the title. Drogba looked indifferent and Lampard looked off and Ashley Cole was not playing to the level he can.

Ivanovic is not the player he was 18 months ago and John Terry looks like he is struggling. You can point to five or six players that are underperforming. Didier Drogba at his best is unplayable but he sometimes looks like he is not putting the work in.

Didier frustrates me so much because we all know what he can do but you don’t know, when the game starts, which Didier Drogba will turn up.

There are too many things happening for people not to be concerned. Liverpool had a game plan and Chelsea didn’t.

There are a lot of players underperforming and the manager has to take responsibility for that.”

I can't understand for the life of me why these radio and tv shows don't ask the real fans of the club like my fellow us, the real fans and Chelsea bloggers out there, who go to the games, have been supporters for years to go on these shows instead of dried up ex-pro's who no-one is that bothered listening to in the first place. If you want real honest opinions, come and ask us for god sake.

If you listen next week, he will probably say that he has noticed two things, Manchester City are more of an attacking side this season than they were last season and Barcelona are the best team in the world right now!.
