I guess with the club losing the vote against buying the freehold off of the CPO the other week, one way to get more money through our coffers would be to sell the naming rights of Stamford Bridge.
This has been mentioned before in passing but would have taken a massive step forward after the vote result. Chief Exec Ron Gourlay has said:
So it looks like this season is the last that we will call our home "Stamford Bridge". It's more or less a given now that there will be a deal in place and we will have to start getting used to telling our mates we are off to the "Samsung" Stadium or something.
To me, no matter what happens it will always be the Bridge. Would seem really weird though watching and reading reports from the ground being introduced and called something else.
That's life these days unfortunately. With the financial fair play ruling coming into play, these are steps that the club simply HAS to consider in order to keep up with the likes of Arsenal, United and now Man City.
What do you people think? Do you agree with selling the naming rights and would you accept seeing the Bridge called something else in order to stay at the top ?

"We need to grow our income, which we are doing in Asia, and reduce our costs, principally players' wages. Naming rights to Stamford Bridge will be a big step towards closing the gap. Active conversations are going on with blue chip partners and I am confident we will have naming rights at Stamford Bridge within the next six to eight months. The aim is to have it in place before the start of next season."(Source)

If its in the clubs best interests, which I think it is, then I'll back it (albeit begrudgingly)......See you at the Samsung!
