Much of the focus of Bobby Di Matteo's appearance in front of the press before Liverpool tomorrow is about his future. There has been speculation of late that clubs had been interested in speaking to him with a view to becoming their manager (...and Leicester to mention one).
Di Matteo was keen to emphasise how happy he is here in the club he calls his home. He said:
You would imagine there is a hunger and desire to get back into the hot seat somewhere and start again to put things right. I don't think any one of us would have held it against him if he rejected AVB's offer to become his Assistant at the club.
For now, and increasingly week after week, Di Matteo is becoming more involved on the Chelsea sidelines in conversations with the players and the manager during the game and it's good to see.
Let's hope he stays with us as long as possible before he decides to take the plunge once again. When he does, we all will wish him well.

"I'm very happy to be here. It's my club. I feel at home and Andre and I have developed a very good working relationship, so it's something we'll discuss maybe at the end of the season.I'm glad that Di Matteo has committed himself to us till the end of the season. It must have been difficult being a successful manager with West Brom getting them promoted, to then be sacked a short time into his first season in the Premier League.
He's very well-prepared and mature for his young age, He knows he has a very wide knowledge of the Premier League and football in general. There is a lot of focus on his age, but he's a very ambitious and talented manager and he knows his stuff.
