I tell you what, this is something that interests me if it happens!. Let's be honest, on his day Theo Walcott and beat anyone, destroy teams and is unplayable. The problem is, he hasn't done it enough for Arsenal in the six seasons he has been there. However, he is showing signs of playing better on a consistent basis and is becoming a real force to be reckoned with in the Premier League.
The problem for Arsenal is the fact that he only has 18 months left on his contract and they could be faced with another Fabregas/Nasri situation.
Chelsea could offer Walcott a much better salary than he would get at Arsenal and of course a realistic challenge to win the Premier League (yes I know they beat us, but be honest who would have more of a challenge this season and next season?).
I still think Chelsea's best formation would be with two holding midfielders and three players playing just behind Torres up front. Imagine Sturridge on the left, Mata in the middle behind Torres and Walcott down the right hand side? It would be immense with the pace of Walcott and Sturridge either side.
I know it's pure speculation but there had been rumours about Walcott back in the summer. I guess it also depends on what happens to Arsenal and where they finish the league this season. With important players like Fabregas and Nasri leaving, if they do not qualify for Europe it could force the likes of RVP and Walcott to think about their futures.
Let's see what happens with all this as like I said it could just be a rumour but like I said, if there turned out to be real substance in this, I believe he could really be a good signing for us!. What do you think?
