BLACKBURN v CHELSEA: ALL WE WANT IS THREE POINTS!

OK, In an hour Chelsea take on Blackburn at Ewood Park in a game we simply have to win. Ideally we all want us to win well and keep a clean sheet but we have to face a harsh reality, do we settle for a win no matter what, even if it means we still concede?

We are nine points behind City and cannot afford to lose more points at this early stage of the season. So, I will take the three points right here, right now but, it's not going to be an easy ride.

Blackburn away is always a dangerous game and we always need to work hard to get the right result. I don't think we can deny we will always create chances in every game we play but it is the fact that we haven't been taking as many as we should!.

There are also certain players who have had a couple of "quiet" games and need to get back on track starting today. I'm referring to Danny Sturridge and Fernando Torres. Torres will keep making his runs all day and for the most part these days gets played in, but again last week became more and more frustrated and found himself dropping deeper and deeper to come and get the ball or out wide. He needs to remain disciplined to stick through the middle.

As for Sturridge, he has been really quiet. We want to see him back running at defenders with confidence and making things happen. We need to him to do it. A couple of times in recent games he has tried to get the better of defenders and it hasn't really happened for him. Let's hope today he can get back on form.

Without question, Chelsea need Torres and Sturridge on form, confident and firing as soon as possible.

The question for all of us today will be who starts at the back today?. Bearing in mind the physical side of the game against Blackburn, I would play Ivanovic right back, Luiz next to JT and Cole left back. I think Mikel needs to come back in the holding role to start with and Ramires and Lampard in front of him.

Up front, the usual Mata, Torres and Sturridge and let's hope they have big, big games.

Like I said though, it's important to remember, this is no give-me today. We need to be up for it, on our game, focused on getting the right result and to start playing with confidence once more.

We have heard of how we need to be taking the chances we create and what better moment to do that starting this afternoon!. Come on Chelsea, give us three points today and a performance to match!.
