Bayer Leverkusen v Chelsea: Show them what we're made of!.

I think we are all agreed on that fact that this is a must win game for Chelsea. Not only so that we can take a step into the next round but for the confidence of the team. AVB has stated that the players need to keep believing and working hard to get back to winning ways and if we can get the right result tonight, it will give us confidence heading into the three big games in the Premier League.

Leverkusen will look to make it difficult for Chelsea tonight and will look to expose our defensive frailties of late. Expect balls being played in behind our defensive line all night as they look to make home advantage count.

Chelsea need to remain focused, disciplined and up for the game tonight if we are to have any chance of the right result. AVB needs to pick a strong, attacking side but at the same time, he MUST make sure we are as tight as possible at the back.

Who starts the game is anyone's guess at the moment and I guess to a degree this has been our problem. So far this season, AVB has used players in games who have remained fresh from the game before and has rotated people. I expect only maybe two or three changes to the side that faced Liverpool last weekend but not many more.

For me, in my opinion I would line up with Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, JT, Cole, Meireles, Lampard, Ramires, Mata, Torres and Sturridge starting. As I said a couple of changes with my selection being three from Sunday with Torres in for Drogba, Sturridge in for Malouda and Meireles in for Mikel.

Whoever is selected tonight needs to be up and at it from the off tonight. The Germans will make it difficult for us, there will be a hostile atmosphere and let's face it, the pressure is on

You taken a battering in the press recently Chelsea, now it's time to put in a good performance and rise above it!
