Fair play and respect is due as far as AVB being charged for his comments after the QPR game. I posted a few days ago asking you guys if he should respond at all and it was great to hear that he has.
Not only did he respond, he denied the charges and isn't even going to turn up for the hearing. He said earlier in the week:
"The charge implicates that I was calling him biased or questioning his integrity. I was not.(Source)
I'm not worried. I understand that a charge cannot be taken lightly. It's the maximum body of English football, and I respect that, but it doesn't mean I agree with it and it doesn't mean I have to defend it to death.
I think I am defending it to death with you, publicly. It's not for me to go in front of a panel to talk about it. I don't have to do that."
I think we all expect AVB to be banned for a game or two from the sidelines or fined as they won't take this lightly. Fair play though to AVB for sticking to his guns and his principles.
