I was reading an interview Ruud Gullit has given recently about Luka Modric and it got me thinking. According to Gullit, he believes that we still lack creativity in our side and believes that Modric is still the man Chelsea need. He said:
“The player Chelsea still need, for me, is Modric, They have great players all around the pitch but he has something Chelsea doesn't have at the moment. He is creative and dominates the passing game in the midfield – he could be like Xavi or Iniesta are to Barcelona.(Source)
I was surprised Tottenham didn't accept £40m because they are known to sell their best players for good offers. I think Chelsea will try to sign Modric again in January and maybe this time they will get him.”
For me I really don't think we need Modric. He said that we lack someone creative in our midfield who can dominate the passing game but I disagree.

Modric is a good player at Spurs but if you think of their side, who else apart from Van Der Vaart can dominate their passing game in midfield and create with the ball?. At Chelsea now it's very different. We have the likes of Mata and Meireles in our side who have come in and done a fantastic job.
Also not only that but we have a certain JOSH MCEACHRAN who is an outstanding talent, better than Jack Wilshire in my view and is already at a level to compare with Modric in my eyes and who has an abundance of skill in his locker like I posted here. I prefer McEachran over Modric anyday!.
I have said it time and time again, it's all well and good Modric being the stand out player for Spurs, but to come to Chelsea and have the same influence amongst a side full of world class players is alot different.
I don't think we need Luka Modric anymore. What do you people think? Is Gullit right?

ReplyDeleteI thnk your deluded and overly bias! You also need to take your rose tinted glasses off! Modric is way better than many of your players including, meireles, ramieres and mceachran. Also wiltshire is better. Mata is more a winger so to compare the two is wrong but modric has done it regularly in the league mata hasn't yet. You don't have a team of world class players either. Which is why you won't win the league. You have a few class players but many of your team is past there best days now. Players like kalou, malouda, sturridge, ramieres, mereles, mikel, anelka, alex, bosingwa are not world class. Terry, drogba, lampard are entering there twilight years, lampard and drogba were world class, as for terry, ledley king or jonathon woodgate would have had his england place had they not been dogged by injuries there whole careers. Torres still aint cutting it. Cech, cole, luiz, mata all though yet to have a full season are your world class players. Then you have a few unproven in the prem. So to suggest you have a team brimming with world class players is delusion.
