"CHELSEA WAS THE BEST THING IN MY CAREER"

There have been a fair few strikers that have come to Chelsea and have struggled to find their form for one reason or another. Robert Fleck, Chris Sutton, Pierluigi Casiraghi and Mateja Kezman. All outstanding strikers in football and like I say for one reason or another struggled to make an impact at the club.

When it comes to Kezman however, he still feels for his time at our club. He said:

"Chelsea was the best thing in my career. That was the climax of my career, for sure.

Living and playing in London was something that I will never forget.

I don't know if I made a mistake because I moved away so quickly. Maybe I do and maybe I don't regret it, but I always believe in my decisions.

But the transfer to Chelsea made my dreams come true. That was the best thing that ever happened to me.

Maybe I could achieve more and I could have been more successful at Stamford Bridge, but I don't regret anything."

It's always great to hear from ex-players who really do have an affection for their time here. Maybe Kezman did leave the club too soon looking back but while he was here and although he never became the goal scoring sensation we all thought he could be, he still played an important part in some of our bigger games.
