Thank god the break for the internationals is over and we have our Premier League football back!. Boring isn't it when you have to wait for two weeks for Chelsea's next game, especially after we gave our performance of the season away at Bolton in our last game!.
So with that in mind and with a very difficult game ahead of us on Saturday I just wondered who would AVB decide to start with on Saturday?.
The temptation I imagine would be to go with the same side that started against Bolton. We know Torres is still suspended and Essien is out injured but as for the rest of the squad, I think at this stage they are all available.
There is still a concern that we are conceding silly goals as we haven't kept a clean sheet for 10 games in the Premier League now, and with the treat Everton pose we need to remain tight.
Looking back to Bolton, Ivanovic and Mikel were on the bench and Meireles and Luiz started in their positions. Does AVB stick with the same or will we see Ivanovic come in for Luiz?.
For me I would stick with the same side that started against Bolton which was:
Cech, Bosingwa, Cole, Luiz, Terry, Meireles, Ramires, Lampard, Mata, Sturridge and Drogba.
I fully expect Everton to come here and play 4-5-1 with Tim Cahill up front on his own to start with and maybe Louis Saha on the bench. It's important that we win the midfield battle which is why it is tempting to put Mikel there, but after the way we played the other week, we surely have to stick with the same side!
What do you think?
