For regular readers of my blog, you would have seen my post yesterday. For those of you that haven't you can catch it here. Basically, I posted comments made by Bruce Buck about AVB and the fact that he could be our manager for the next 10-15 years. Deja-vu don't you think considering this is what was said of Jose Mourinho.
I posted a bit of a rant about how we do not need to hear comments like that after he has only been here for three months and it's needless pressure being put on a man who has come into the club, to change our philosophy and playing style throughout the club which of course, takes time.
Well, Buck is at it again. Speaking yesterday at the Leaders in Football Conference held at Stamford Bridge he made comments that will increase the pressure on AVB by revealing the expectations of the club. He said:
However, in these latest comments made by Buck it seems to me that he has revealed that AVB has been given three years to win the Champions League. I don't have a problem with that, but I have a problem with the timing of these comments made just as we have started to discover ourselves under the new manager.
It's all very frustrating for me at the moment with comments such as these being made by our Chairman. Why does he feel as though he has to come out and say stuff like this. Just let our manager get on with things and evaluate and make comments after he has been in charge for at least a season?.
The thing is now, in his first press conference back as he prepares to take on Everton, the focus of the attention will not be much on the game but about the CPO issues, is he going to be our manager for 10 years and does he think he can win the Champions League in three years!
All AVB wants to do is get on with his project and prepare for the next games. Just let the bloke do it and get on with it!.

“Three years from now I think we’ll have a 36-year-old manager who has been with us for four years, We’ll have won a couple of trophies including one with the word ‘European’ in its title, and we will have a contented fan base and a contented owner.”Now we all know the level of expectations here after seeing what happened to Ancelotti and Mourinho especially when it comes to the Champions League. AVB said it himself during his press conference when he first took over, he wants to try and win all four competitions.
However, in these latest comments made by Buck it seems to me that he has revealed that AVB has been given three years to win the Champions League.
