The more I hear from AVB the more I like him!. It would be very very easy for us Chelsea fans to get carried away right now with out recent form and get ahead of ourselves. If you think as fans it's easy to get carried away, then imagine what it could be like for AVB, his staff and the players!.
AVB is having none of it right now though as he is focused on where he wants us to be and that is top of the league. He knows we are now just a point behind United in second and three behind Man City (who face each other this weekend) and he isn't happy.
I know we are scoring goals for fun at the moment but apart from glimpses of good stuff on Saturday, Chelsea never played as well as they did at Bolton but got the right result.
When asked about our form and the goals lately, AVB was quick to bring all of us down a peg or two and said:
Like I said I love the way he speaks being a student of the game. I do find it somewhat surprising that he feels as though we haven't done anything special and we are just winning our home games as we are supposed to do.
One thing we can all remember is the fortress that Stamford Bridge became under Jose and it has all the makings of being so again, this time under AVB.
I have said it before about the Everton game first of all and QPR on Sunday, they are massive, massive games and our biggest of the season in relation to the League. AVB will be keen for his players to focus on their jobs at hand and to win the game and get another three points and to see what happens in Manchester.
Maybe his comment is a challenge to the side to show even more of themselves, play with the freedom he demands and show us all something special.
What better time to that to show everyone just how talented we are, than at Loftus Road on Sunday!

"It's important for us to get three points, particularly on a day where two title contenders played against each other. Man United got an important point at Anfield but at least it makes us recover some points and get closer to second position.(Source)
We have done nothing else than our responsibilities in winning the games that we have won at home, We have not done anything special.
We just have to continue to win until we find a position of comfort at the top of the Premier League, because that's what we want.
