In a little under an hour we take on the impressive Valencia and this is no easy game by any stretch of the imagination!. Valencia are doing well in La Liga and will want to make an impression in this one so Chelsea need to be at their very best to first of all cope with the Spaniards, then to get hold of possession and start to dictate play.
Expect Fernando Torres and Juan Mata to start the game. I predict the only changes will be David Luiz for Ivanovic and Lampard for Mikel with Meireles dropping into the holding role.
This game tonight is one that we all would take a draw right now but AVB has a belief in his players, he is trying to instill that into his players and we are getting better game after game.
So, do not expect a defensive Chelsea side taking to the field in Valencia. Expect a forthright, attacking side that will look to put Valencia on the back foot, to attack them and create plenty of chances.
The game is set up as the return of Juan Mata, I just don't think they realise how much he could really hurt them tonight!
Chelsea to win by at least two & Torres on the score sheet at least once!
