This afternoon is an interesting game for me for many reasons. We all know AVB has said in previous weeks that he wants to see his sides performances get better from week to week and I think we all are looking for the same level of performance as we saw in the second half against United.
I am wondering if he will make 10 changes to the side that faced Fulham this week. The Fulham game would have taken alot out of the players and maybe, all those who were not involved or involved for a only some of the game, will start today.
Also because of our formation. I am wondering if AVB will go with the 4-2-3-1 that impressed us all last week. I want AVB to stick with it as we began to see Fernando Torres finally get the service he has been crying out for at the club. We will see a Torres crisis of confidence after the miss last week or will we see a revitalised Torres put on a performance to re-iterate he is back?.
Finally because we welcome back Brendan Rogers and Scott Sinclair back to the Bridge. You have to give full credit to Rogers for sticking to his guns, his beliefs and principles in the way he wants his sides to play. It was tough for him at Reading, but picked himself up, took the chance at Swansea and has really taken it with both hands.
Swansea play good football. Their first game away at City, although getting beat 4-0, stuck with them for at least an hour and really impressed me. They have some gifted players who have taken on board Rogers' style and believe in their manager which is important.
Swansea won't look to come here and sit back, expect three up front with Scott Sinclair down the left wing. Sinclair has been a revelation hasn't he, but let's be honest most of us knew he would be. He has immense talent alongside his blistering pace and if he continues to develop by playing regular football, he WILL BE a star and a regular for England in the future.
This is no easy game today, Chelsea need to be up and at it once more from the start. We need to play well to earn the right to win this one. I expect Mata to pulling the strings once more and maybe a surprise selection down the right of a Mr Drogba with Torres through the middle once again?.
Swansea a good side and will enjoy their day, but I can't see them having enough to beat us (as long as we sort out our defending). Chelsea to build again on last weeks performance with a improved performance today. Chelsea to win by three today and Torres on the score sheet once more!
