MEIRELES: "Give my all to help Chelsea win titles"

Raul Meireles has responded to claims by Liverpool fans that he is a judas for leaving the club and signing for Chelsea. In this article, the Portugese midfielder has indicated that while something happened that forced him to leave, he was more than happy that AVB came calling and is looking forward to the new challenge at Chelsea.

He said:

"These are things that happen in football. I can only say good things about Liverpool, it was a fantastic year.

People think I am a Judas and that it was because of the money. It was not because of that, I will explain it later, things are still fresh.

It all happened very fast. I am not the only one to blame for my exit from Liverpool, but I will never stop loving the club and I have great friends there.

I was very happy with his (AVB's) interest in my signature. The most important thing is to give my all every time and try to help Chelsea win titles."

Do you know what, I don't care as to what has happened at Liverpool but I will say one thing, I am more than thankful that it has and he is now our player.

There is nothing better for us fans than to hear a player join us and state that he is hungry and "will give his all" to help us with things and become successful once again.

I have said numerous times on here that he provides us with options now in midfield and we can adapt to different systems and the way we can play.
