So tomorrow night AVB makes his first venture as manager into the League Cup at the third round stage against our local rivals Fulham. Now in his press conference when he took over as manager of the football club, he stressed the importance of trying to win all four trophies we are entered in for this season so bear that in mind in this post.
You have to remember that AVB was part of Mourinho's backroom team when we beat Liverpool in Cardiff to win our first "title" as Jose called it, but he stressed that it was an important moment for the group and gave everyone belief that we are winners. I am 100% certain that AVB will approach this competition in the same way but that's not to say he will not make changes.
I guess we have to see how Fulham approach the game. Will they play a weakened side or will they come to the Bridge to go for it? I can see them picking their best eleven in this one so Chelsea need to ensure if we do make changes, we still remain strong.
I guess that's the question for all of you today (including Fulham fans) and that is will your manager make wholesale changes or pick a strong side?

For Chelsea it would be easy I guess to pick the squad players that didn't play against United or start the game. For example, Turnbull in goal, Ferriera, Luiz, Alex and Bertrand at the back. Romeu and Mikel in the middle (based on our new 4-2-3-1 formation) with Malouda wide left, McEachran in behind the striker, Kalou wide right and Lukaku up front.
Whether or not he does it is another thing. For me I predict some changes but not the whole first eleven.
The question remains and I would like to hear from all of you football fans reading this today:
Who would you pick in your first eleven and why?
Like I said, let's get this one going today ahead of our derby and spread the word as I want to hear from as many of you as possible!.

I will stick with your line up as it is relatively strong no disrespect to fulham but i think provision will be made for drogba to start which means one of the players has to be dropped.
