CHELSEA TO SIGN NO ONE?

Could it be that AVB has been impressed with our current squad enough to not need to sign anyone? Remember, David Luiz and Ramires are still to link up with the squad this week.

Well according to Ron Gourlay, he expects a couple of loan deals for our youngsters to be completed before the end of the transfer window and that's it. He said:

"The key here is that we have a big, strong squad, I'd be most disappointed if clubs didn't come in looking at our players.

We will probably look at one or two players who maybe need to go out for development, who need football games.

I mean loans and there won't be much more activity than that. I need to sit down with Andre and have a look at things later in the week."

So how do you feel about the fact that it looks like AVB wants to rely on our settled squad? I know alot of you have expressed your frustrations at the fact that he haven't brought in a play maker or a winger?.

John Terry spoke on tour asking everyone connected with the club and the fans to trust AVB and it's important that we all do.

AVB has asked for time to evaluate the squad he already has before deciding on making changes and it now seems he is more than happy with what he has.

I personally think, knowing Luiz and Ramires are also back now, that we are more than strong enough for this season. Forget the likes of Liverpool spending their money, City doing the same and the players United have bought, Chelsea are very, very strong and I believe under AVB will be the team to beat.

So after weeks and weeks of speculation about all sorts of players being linked with moves to the Bridge, it now seems that it was exactly that, just pure speculation!
