CHELSEA TO OFFER BENAYOUN FOR MODRIC?

According to the Daily Mail, AVB is willing to sacrifice a player Harry Redknapp has openly admitted to being a admirer of in Yossi Benayoun plus cash to try and lure Spurs into selling Luka Modric.

Now I must state this could be pure speculation but it's something we should also consider. Spurs have their injury problems with Sandro and Pienaar out injured ahead of the new season so maybe just maybe, they would take the money AND Benayoun and look to invest in other players to bolster their squad?.

As for Chelsea, the article states that AVB is looking for that special player who can play "in between the lines" of our rigid formation and although it seems that Wesley Sneijder is available, we still want Luka Modric.

I just wonder if Spurs will stick to their stance and stick with what they have or if they would be interested in taking Benayoun AND the money so Redknapp can look to bring some others in?

I personally have nothing against Benayoun and he does always give it his all, but he isn't going to challenge Ramires and Lampard for their places in the middle of midfield is he. Not only that, but in my mind, Josh McEachran is now also ahead of him too.

What do you think? Would this deal be of interest to Spurs and would you want him and Chelsea fans would you be happy to let Yossi go?
