"They are a wonderfully gifted bunch of guys and they will be back"

Ray Wilkins has once again heaped praise on the players he used to work with and once more reiterates the hunger and desire the players have at Chelsea and issued a warning to the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and the Liverpool's of this world.

He said:

"They are a wonderfully gifted bunch of guys and they will be back. They will be pushing for it next year, they have a wonderful desire to win, as a unit they are different class. They just need that little additive [to the squad] and I'm sure they will be fine.

I've been with them, I know their fitness levels and they are quite superb so there's really no problem as far as the age is concerned. It just needs a little tinkering here and there.

We heard the other day that Ron Gourlay spoke of two or three additions to the current squad so it seems a common belief that just that little something extra is needed. Now whether it's one of these three is yet to be seen but after a "reported" bid was turned down, you would have to say that it's seems as though Luka Modric is the one we want.

One thing is for sure, Chelsea will be hungry next season and will want to bounce back from our disappointing season. If Wilkins speaks of the hunger and desire that was there during his time at the club, imagine what it will be like come 4th July when pre season starts!

I personally can't wait to get started again!.
