AC Milan have made a formal enquiry as to the availability of Didier Drogba according to talkSport and it will be interesting to see what happens in the coming days once AVB is appointed.
We find ourselves wondering once again this summer about Drogba and if he will fit into AVB's plans. The way Porto set up, the play a 4-3-3 formation with the lone striker similar to Barcelona's style and you do have to wonder where Drogba will fit in with Fernando Torres being our main striker and if rumours are to be believed, Falcao coming with AVB to Chelsea.
The thing is, we are all aware of Drogba's age and at 33 he is THE SAME age as AVB. If Roman Abramovich has decided that he wants to rejuvenate Chelsea, and with the signings of Ramires, Luiz and Torres you have to believe that IS the case, then the likes of Drogba and Anelka could be shown the door.
For Drogba, I am sure he wants to remain at the club at least for this season and wants to be a part of the AVB revolution. He still on his day is the best all round striker in the Premier League and Europe for me but especially after last season, and yes I know he had Malaria, but we never saw Drogba really on his game enough.
With Milan offering Champions League football if Drogba is told he doesn't feature in AVB's plans, could it be enough to tempt both parties to get the deal done?. We will see in the coming weeks!.
