"I would like my future settled by next Monday"

Romelu Lukaku has spoken out about the constant speculation regarding his future and has stated on record that he wants a decision to be made and finalised by next Monday!. As featured on SkySports, Lukaku has been linked with a move to the Premier League all season long and Chelsea have been linked with him time and time again.

More recently, Lukaku is believed to be one of five players Roman Abramovich wants to bring to the club this summer and the player himself has stated the following:

"I would like my future settled by next Monday. My college exams start the next day and I don't want any other concerns. I'll be going to one of the top two or three clubs in England - or else I'll stay at Anderlecht. I want to leave, because I want to score goals in a stadium where there are 50,000 people, and play in the Champions League."

Now I can see Chelsea making a move for the player after if predicted, Nico Anelka leaves the club as his possible replacement. With the news of Didier Drogba looking like he is staying at the club now and Danny Sturridge coming back, we would have plenty of competition for places.

The problem we will have will be if Sturridge and Lukaku would settle for a place on the bench because I don't think they would.

Could it be that someone else will come in for Lukaku as he talks of one of the Premier League's top clubs so you would imagine possibly United, Arsenal and maybe City are also interested.

At least we will know by next Monday. You never know, we might also find out about our new manager by then too!
