DEBATE: IMAGINE IF WE SIGNED NO ONE!

I think alot of us are sitting here waiting as the days go by for Chelsea to pull their fingers out and sort out the manager sooner rather than later. We are seeing the likes of United, Liverpool and City making moves in the transfer market and as some of you have said on my blog "we are getting left behind!".

Now I am not so sure we are, because the simple explanation to the signings that those teams have made or are trying to make obviously were not in Chelsea's thinking. Ron Gourlay said that the club has "identified" two or three players they would like to bring into the squad in "key areas". The likes of Ashley Young, Phil Jones and Jordan Henderson were not those players.

However, at the moment everything we are reading and hearing is speculation at the moment as Gourlay also talked about waiting for our new coach to be in place. So what happens if the players we want to bring to the club didn't arrive for whatever reason and we were left with the players we already have here?. Remember that season years ago when we only made one signing on a free transfer and that was Enrique De Lucas? Chelsea had a settled squad and that was of benefit to us.

OK we have Lucas Piazon coming here but how would you feel if we signed no one else and how do you think we would do in the Premier League?

I would love to know your thoughts on this. I personally think it could benefit Chelsea. Luiz and Torres have reportedly settled in well already and the pre season will be even better for them to go away with everyone so why wouldn't it be a good thing?

Let's be honest here, we went on a good run of results and fought back to second place in the league and with the odd tactical masterstroke here and there could have won the league so we weren't far off!.

So today's debate question for you all is:

Do you think not signing anyone this summer would benefit Chelsea and how do you think we would realistically do in our quest for the title next season?
