As you can imagine with a game as big as it is this Sunday, there will be speculation as to who plays and in what formation for Chelsea as we look to beat Manchester United.
There has already been reports of Drogba & Torres playing together and being given another chance to work well but I just wonder.
For me it's an obvious choice, it has to be 4-3-3. We have gone on another great run similar to last season by playing THE formation that suits our players and if that means Torres starts on the bench then you have to hold your hands up and say so be it.
I am just wondering what the rest of you think?.
My team selection in our 4-3-3 formation is as follows:
Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry (C), Cole, Essien, Mikel, Lampard, Kalou, Drogba, Malouda.
I am picking Essien purely for his strength ahead of Ramires in midfield and that is the only reason. Kalou ahead of Anelka because of his goals in recent weeks and the fact that he is willing to run at defenders. Drogba gets the nod to lead the line ahead of Torres as long as he is up for the game.
The good thing about this formation and our bench is we have big players that can come on as direct replacements to keep the fluidity of our side. Torres for Drogba, Anelka for Kalou, Zhirkov for Malouda, Ramires for Essien, Benayoun for Essien/Lampard/Mikel if we need to change it.
The way we are playing, the fact we are scoring goals and that we have the momentum gives us the edge this Sunday.
So Chelsea fans, do you agree with my selection and formation? Let me know by posting your comments/team selection below!
