Milan in for Essien?

According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, AC Milan are planning a raid on the Premier League this summer to bolster their midfield and one of those players is Michael Essien. It's believed that Essien has been a long term target for Milan and with rumours of a hefty transfer kitty being put to one side, Chelsea could find themselves having to put up with enquiries in the coming weeks from the Italians.

Now I'm sure I can say this on behalf of quite a few of you Chelsea fans, "We cannot afford to let Essien go!" but saying that, he hasn't had the best of seasons for one reason or another and at times this season has looked nothing like his best but, Michael Essien will come back strong again next season of that I have no doubt so it's important as we look to regenerate the side, that the likes of Essien remain at the club for our future.
