Ancelotti on Spurs.

Carlo Ancelotti spoke to Chelseafc.com after the late win against Spurs yesterday. We all know of the controversy that surrounds our first goal and our winner and I have had my say in my Match Report here. When asked about the win and the substitutions of Torres and Essien, Carlo said:

'Obviously we would like to win the game with a different situation because today we were lucky, we have to be honest and say this. Looking at the situation on television, we can say the decision was wrong and we were lucky. We have to accept when things are wrong like that but also when things are against us.

The problem was not the position of Fernando, The problem was that we tried to play between the lines but we didn't use the right space. In the first 20 minutes we were good, and Fernando was involved, but after that we had more difficulty passing the ball to him. Drogba played well also and they both played for the team, this is good.

In that moment we had a good control of the game because we were using a lot of power to attack, so we needed to have a player with power in the box and use Kalou on the side.

Essien had a problem earlier in the week. He didn't train properly this week so it was a risk to give him 90 minutes today.

I don't know what will happen tomorrow, It may be a fantastic game, Arsenal could win but so could Manchester, so the gap will be six points. In this moment we have to prepare for the next game, which is against Manchester United, and we must win that game.

We may be six points behind but it doesn't matter for us. We were able to close this gap in two months, which means this team had a good reaction after the defeat by Manchester United.
