Captain Fantastic John Terry has once again spoken of his desire to remain with the club after his contract expires. He has made no secret that he wants to move into coaching or management and said in an interview published in the Telegraph:
“I’d love to manage Chelsea, whether that comes two years after I finish playing, straight away or five years away, I’d love to manage Chelsea Football Club. The Article in the newspaper still states that they believe Guus Hiddink will be coming to the Bridge, but in a twist they reveal an idea would be to offer Guus a two year deal as manager with him then moving to a Director of Football role for JT to step in.
“I’ve been there all my career, and I want to stay on here to the end, and I feel that I’ve got some knowledge to pass on, maybe to the youth team at first and then the first team. I’m doing the badges at the moment so hopefully that’ll be done sooner rather than later, and then I can look towards that.”
What do you think?. I personally think JT will be a fantastic manager and man manager. Let's be honest, he wouldn't take any crap from anyone either. Just think about the managers he has worked with at club and International level.
I'm all for the idea!
