Jack Cork has spoken of the situation he finds himself at in a key point in his career and doesn't see his future with Chelsea. Featured in the Mirror, Cork has spoken of his intention to see out the remainder of this season and to then decide and see what happens. He said:
"I just want to finish my season and reflect on it at the end and see what everyone wants me to do, I’m not sure yet. I need to speak to my dad and my family, my agent - as well as Burnley and Chelsea - and take it from there.
I have a year left at Chelsea but I don’t see that as a permanent option. My aim all season has been to get a club in the summer permanently, get my own place and start afresh.
I will speak to Burnley’s manager in the summer and see what he has to say."
Of course being at Chelsea with the wealth of talent we have in midfield, Cork was always going to find it difficult to break through, especially with Chelsea adding to their ranks back at the start of the season with Ramires.
You have to wonder, he has talent and ability but would Cork be another one of those youngsters that flourish away from the club once they find some stability in their career or just another of our promising youngsters who never really fulfilled their potential and found "their level" elsewhere.
Whatever happens, we all wish Cork well for the future!
