Carlo Ancelotti has decided started to turn the screw and put pressure on Manchester United and Arsenal in Friday's press conference before Chelsea take on Stoke tomorrow. It's great to hear to be honest after having to deal with weeks and weeks of talk about finishing 4th place.
He does point out that the pressure is the same for everyone, but for me anyway it's about time that Carlo took aim.
He said:
"If you think three months ago, it would have been a dream to arrive in this situation, I don’t know what we can do until the end. We have a possibility to fight to do our best. I think also Manchester United, Arsenal cannot make a mistake but this is football. Always in April at the end of the season you have to play your card but we are ready to play. It's very important [the coming games].(Source:Goal)
In the month of March we played very well and won against Manchester City and Man United, and it's good to play our football, to have confidence and obviously now we’ve arrived at a very busy moment but we are ready to play games every three days because all the players are fit, all the players have a good motivation and we are ready.
For every team to make a mistake now is very dangerous. Not just for us, because every team is involved in having their aims so you make a mistake here and you can lose your possibility to win something."
Ancelotti is spot on in my opinion. Of course it's the same us. We need to ensure we carry on going about our business the way we have lately, but he makes a point, We ARE right back in it and the odd mistake or slip up from either of them and we will be ready to pounce.
The message is clear from Carlo Ancelotti with a fully fit squad to choose from, "WE ARE READY!"
