What do you people think? Is there any substance to these rumours or are the press clutching at straws? Being honest and thinking about Drogba at Chelsea NOW and not in the past, it could be a real possibility. After seven years of loyal service to Chelsea, and a chance of a final swansong and challenge playing for a man he openly admires, it could be the right time for all parties concerned.
If the reports that have appeared in the press on Friday after to be believed, it seems that Jose Mourinho is finally winning his boardroom battle and has convinced his president to pull out all the stops to get Mourinho his man next season.
For Drogba, you would have to imagine it would be a dream ending to his career. He has won everything there is to win in England. Hopefully he will add the Champions League trophy to his collection at the end of this season and the chance to say goodbye, leaving on such a massive high could be too tempting to resist.
Of course it could be all total rubbish but one thing is for sure. The day Didier Drogba decides to leave Chelsea and in the time after he does, only then will we all realise just how good he has been and how lucky we were to have him here.
Didier like the rest of the players who were at the club back in May 2008 have a score to settle and a point to prove with Didier feeling that way more than most after his petulant red card. What are the odds on seeing Didier Drogba lifting that Champions League trophy high above his head at Wembley this season as a parting gift to the Chelsea fans?
